The Miry Clay!

i would love my hands be musaged

S. S. David

My hands got stuck in the clay

My skin melts into its blackness.

I became one with it!

I slouched through the mush of my decay.

I smelt the perfume of my horrors.

And wept at the snigger of the hollow.

I looked up and saw the light.

I clawed through the darkness.

I miffed through my tears and felt

The sorrow of the miry Clay.

****

My soul sniffed my shame.

My hands shook with defeat.

I struggled to save what was left,

But grasp empty air!

Love looked me in the eyes and screamed.

Faithfulness hissed at my discomfort.

Hope staggered when I called.

Faith strolled past me in disgust.

Mercy held me close…

And I caught a glimpse of heaven.

I am, but a clay…

A Lesson in Gratitude

masha Allah this little boy is praying to Allah, while his in the hospital cause i don’t usually see people do that may Allah bless him……..

A Heart's Echoes

The blessing of health is one that we often take for granted. Yet when our eyes fall on patients surrounded by formidable machines and monitors, with wires snaking in and out of their bodies, we start to really appreciate this great blessing. The hospital scene is one that people normally avoid. Some don’t like to witness other people’s miseries; those anxiously waiting outside of operating doors reading pages from the quraan, those shuffling around while holding their IV poles, those feeding their children clothed in green gowns and a bandana to hide the heads made bald by chemotherapy.  Some don’t like the smell of antiseptic. Period.

But visiting the sick doesn’t only help us appreciate our own health. It also shows us the strength of the human spirit. Sometimes the sight of the sick with their smiles and their animated conversations inspires us to stop sweating the small stuff and…

Your du’a answered guaranteed!
By Asma bint Shameem

What if I tell you that I know a way that will ensure that all your prayers are answered, that none of your dua’s will be rejected and anything that you ask for will be granted?

Wouldn’t you like to know what that way is? Wouldn’t you jump at the chance to avail that?

But…..what is that way? How can we achieve all this and more?

The answer to that, brothers and sisters, isn’t anything secret or hidden.

The answer has been there for ages. Actually, its been there for the last 1400 years.. We just didn’t look hard enough. We just didn’t pay much attention to it.

It is what Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala has promised His slaves every single day….every time he sits down to break his fast.

The answer lies in the hadeeth of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi…

It’s Only Time

really how about now do you still feel the same

the quiet voice

I am not who I used to be. When I was younger, people scared me. I latched onto my dad’s leg at any family social event; I always chose a corner to stay in when I was with kids my age. But as the years passed, I gradually grew more comfortable with people. It was like learning how to swim. At first I stuck to the strokes I knew best – the close friends and topics of conversation I could handle – then I went further and further into the deep end, experimenting and learning new techniques, even if it was awkward and scary. Now, with introversion still my constant companion, I don’t mind speaking to strangers or large crowds. I really enjoy it, sometimes.

But that’s not why I felt like I was fading away a few days ago. Do you know what it’s like to disappear?

Why Can’t I Fly?

Hey thanks for sharing that kinda story with us it was nice story my sis

S. S. David

shutterstock_87665194

I read a brightly illustrated children’s book this morning titled, ‘Why Can’t I Fly‘ by Ken Brown and I learnt a lot of lessons. The story is about a discontented ostrich who wanted to fly at all cost. Ostrich continually failed to appreciate his many good qualities, the only thing he cared about – is flying and he tried this repeatedly with disastrous results. He built himself a flying apparatus, yet, he failed still, then a miracle came, his efforts were rewarded when he tried again with his flying apparatus and he was flying, overjoyed, he yelled for his friends to see him flying, he wanted to prove to them that he could fly but lo and behold, his friends were nowhere to be found, why?

Because they were carrying his apparatus, all of them! And it made me realise that life is too complex to go at it alone, let’s…

Al-Fattah – The One That Opens Closed Doors

thanks for telling me that I didn’t know if things are impossible or too difficult that you had to read or know surrah al-fattah thanks

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Allah is al-Fattah. We need to know al-Fattah when we feel that things are impossible or too difficult because Allah (swt) necessarily invites

1017711_586239774759440_1584248880_n

you to know Him by this Name in those circumstances. Al-Fattah comes from the 3-letter root f-t-h (ف-ت-ح). Some words are known by their opposites, and the opposite of fath is for something to be closed. Thus fath is to open. Al-Ghazali tells us about al-Fattah, “He is the One by Whose concern everything that is closed is opened.”If I tell you to open the door, it must mean that the door is closed. If it is already open you would probably give me a funny look.

So what does this mean? Allah al-Fattah opens the things that are closed. Those things that seem impossible, those things that you cannot understand how they even work. A door has to be closed in order for someone to…

Love Needn’t be…

o.m.g those birds look so cute

S. S. David

1421260_12613389 shanil

Love needn’t be difficult or complex

Like these two lovebirds

Who enjoy each other’s company.

Love needn’t be pretentious or a burden.

Love needn’t be about wealth and class.

Love should be based on true feelings,

Borne out of a pure heart

Not on lust.

Do you notice the dirt in the picture? To me, it implies imperfection, loving someone doesn’t mean they are perfect, neither are you! But we should love them anyway!!

We live in a very complex world, someone once told me he doesn’t believe in love, and I failed to convince him otherwise. Recently I read a newspaper article where the author claimed that a high percentage of people in London, live alone, loveless. It’s a modern malaise and its frighteningly apocalyptic in nature. As naïve as I may sound, I still believe in love!

Have a fantastic weekend friends and live well, and… erm… love well!

Much love, always!

war.

(Bertrand Russell)“War does not determine who is right – only who is left”. If  people had power to eliminate one major problem in the world it would be war. Many people lose their lives due to war. Wars destroy the lives of children, education, and cultures. Wars are a serious problem that need to be brought to an end.

War destroys the lives of children.Children are very precious to every nation. They are the future leaders of the world. First, war affects children mentally. For example, when a child is worried about war their not able to focus on education or college. Second,it affects them physically. Children get hurt, there’s no food for them to eat and place for them to sleep. Lastly, not only do children have a place to sleep, they also get emotionally distressed. Children get stressed because of the war and worry about their safety, family and depression. Another part of their lives that is affected is their education.

War affects education in many ways. For example, wars have led to teachers losing their jobs.  Because school had been bombed, teachers lost the building they were teaching in, and many of the children died. In addition, teachers are losing their training and skills. The reason they are forgetting everything is because they are focused more on surviving than training. They need to find food and a place to live more than they need to practice teaching.Eliminating war would help both teachers and children to live better lives. However, war doesn’t only affect children and education, it also affects cultures.

Wars affects cultures in differents ways. In wars, people start to forget their own cultures, language and  follow others because once their in war they start to get  separated or escape away from their land. One ways that culture can be affected is  by war, For example, people start to dress differently than they use to and if they didn’t listen to music before, they are listening to music now.   Another effect of war is that people lose their language. In addition, they also lose historical artifacts due to destruction. For example, they lose books and artifacts in the museum. The books that talk about their own religion and culture are a tragic loss.

war negatively affects children, education and cultures . These are some reasons why I would eliminate war. Often times in war, we fight for so long that we lose track of what we are fighting over; it is so sad that innocent people are suffering because of the results of war.

Ur boken Muhammad – The messenger of Allah skriven av Abdhurrahman AL-Sheha

The prophet would walk briskly with a forwardleaning gait, moving with strenght of purpouse and lifting each foot clearly off the ground. His pace was such that fit men would tire trying to keep up. When he turned, he would turn his whole body, giving full attention to the one addressing him and showing complete concern to what was being said. When he pointed, he would use an open hand so as not to offend. Likewise, when he criticized a person’s behavior, rather than  name the indvidual, he would simply say: “Why do people do so and so?”
He would laugh only to the extent that the gap between his front teeth would become visible. He would become angry only to the extent that his face would turn red and the vein between his fine, bow-shaped eyebrows…

Hobbies

(Laurel K. Hamilton) “I always treated writing as a profession, never as a hobby. If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will.” . Having hobbies helps a person have something enjoyable in his or her life. There are three main hobbies that I enjoy and do well in such as reading the Quran, reading fictions novels, and working on math problems. These are things I enjoy, and they also help improve your life.

Reading the Quran helps me with many things. To start with, the Quran helps me with the relationship with parents. In  the Quran its says that as long as both of our parents live, we should be honored them (high respect) and we should never talk back at them, nor we shout at them. That’s why every time my mother tells me to do something, I just do it without talking back at her. In addition, the Quran doesn’t only teach me the relationship of parents, it also teaches me forgiveness. One of best ideas that the Quran sites is the act of forgiveness. Muslims around the world make mistakes, and ourselves are taught to forgive.  For example, there are things that sit on your shoulders. Writing down all the things that I do whether they’re good deeds or bad deeds. whenever I make mistakes  I myself ask Allah for forgiveness because allah (S.W.T) is the most forgiving. Further, the Quran has passages that sometimes make me cry. I cry because these passages are at a level I have not yet reached, and it make me emotional. I read the Quran with my mouth, but I understand with my  heart. Reading the Quran is best hobby  I enjoy most however math problem is another thing that I also enjoy.

The purpose I do math is to graph and solve equations and words problems. To start with, I use graphing in many different ways.In my environment class I used the graphing data and  when I  am comparing the endangered species. Not only do I use graphing for comparing two things I also use it  for math to graph a linear equation( which is an equation of solution that’s a straight line). Also, I enjoy solving equation.  In math, solving equations is something I enjoy doing because it’s all about putting a value or number into the equation and finding the solution like (mx+b).In addition, the word problems are sometimes difficult to complete. It  take quite a while for myself  to solve because it takes a long time to read the problem entirely, get a feel for the whole problem, and list information of the variables I identify. It also takes time to put the equation where it should be and solve for another problem. However, not only do I love solving equations, I also love  reading.

Reading fiction novels is one of your favorite thing I enjoy. To begin with, reading romantic book is fun activity thing I love to do. One of the activity that I love to do it that reading about romantic, I read these books only when I am bored or sometime. I also read them for fun because you might learn about some few basic things.Sometimes, when I read I get lost in a different world.I get lost in some of the scene and different places where fictional characters live.I can pretend that I am in the book and can relate so one of the main characters that I read about.Next, I can image the setting of the story. when I’m reading I enjoy what’s happening in the book, and I can see the characters and places of where the story takes place.

In conclusion,Having hobbies helps me have something enjoyable in life, like reading novels, solving math problems, and reading the Quran. In the spring times its fun hobbies for me to enjoy whenever I’m not doing anything however They are helpful and comfortable, and its much better than wasting your time and not doing anything.

Aside

one night a woman went out for drinks with her girlfriends. She left the bar fairly late at night, got in her car and onto the deserted highway. After a few minutes she noticed a lone pair of headlights in her rear viewImage mirror, approaching at a pace just slightly quicker than hers. As the car pulled up behind her she glanced and saw the turn signal on — the car was going to pass — when suddenly it swerved back behind her, pulled up dangerously close to her tailgate and the brights flashed.

Now she was getting nervous. The lights dimmed for a moment and then the brights came back on and the car behind her surged forward. The frightened woman struggled to keep her eyes on the road and fought the urge to look at the car behind her. Finally, her exit approached but the car continued to follow, flashing the brights periodically.

Through every stoplight and turn, it followed her until she pulled into her driveway. She figured her only hope was to make a mad dash into the house and call the police. As she flew from the car, so did the driver of the car behind her — and he screamed, “Lock the door and call the police! Call 911!”

When the police arrived the horrible truth was finally revealed to the woman. The man in the car had been trying to save her. As he pulled up behind her and his headlights illuminated her car, he saw the silhouette of a man with a butcher knife rising up from the back seat to stab her, so he flashed his brights and the figure crouched back down.

The moral of the story: Always check the back seat!

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya (d. 1350) on the Divine Law

nice masallah

Ballandalus

Imam Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr ibn al-Qayyim (d. 1350), the great Hanbali jurist and theologian, said, “Verily, the Divine Law (Shari’a) is founded upon wisdom and welfare for the servants in this life and the afterlife. In its entirety it is justice, mercy, benefit, and wisdom. Every matter which abandons justice for tyranny, mercy for cruelty, benefit for corruption, and wisdom for foolishness is not a part of the Divine Law even if it was introduced therein by an interpretation.”
